Forget the Pursuit of HappinessThere's a lot of good stuff in this article about happiness, about noticing joy, about loving and being loved as practicable skills, and—notably—about the imprisoning mental state that people, especially Americans, hate so much and seek so persistently. But my favorite observation is this: The pursuit of happiness is antithetical to happiness. Define your mission and work on it, and you will be happy. It's true.
